Manito is a progressive community with a population of 1637.The Manito Area Chamber of Commerce has a mission to continue providing programs and services to promote a healthy economy, which will make Manito a desirable place to work, live and visit.

Several prominent Assets of the Manito Area are hereby presented:

1. MIDWEST CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL · With expanded curriculums, students presently are being better prepared for College or Career Ready Occupations. · The school contains a FFA Agricultural Plot with the only Center Pivot Irrigation System in Illinois.	2. MAHOMET-TEAYS AQUIFER · Irrigation for growth of a large variety of crops, fruits and vegetables is made possible by an abundant water supply
3. POPCORN CAPITAL OF ILLINOIS · The annual Popcorn Festival signifies the growth and processing of acres & acres of Popcorn.	4. TRANSPORTATION · Manito has ready access to Rail, Highway and River transportation.
